Clean audit start

Audit setup

Audit setup captures the identity and timing of the audit before the work starts.

Step by step

Create a new audit

Open Audits from the dashboard and start a new audit record.

Enter the audit identity

Fill in the audit title if needed, site or supplier name, and audit type. If the type is Other, provide the custom type.

Assign people clearly

Select the lead auditor and add co-auditors where applicable. This keeps ownership visible before findings and reports begin.

Record planned timing

Enter planned start and planned end. The app can also copy a calendar-ready summary for practical scheduling.

Record actual timing for reporting

When the audit has happened, record actual audit date and time so reporting reflects what really occurred.

What makes it useful

  • The setup becomes reusable context for the rest of the audit.
  • Read-only users can see setup without changing fields they are not allowed to edit.
  • Calendar-ready summary support reduces manual meeting text.

What this helps prevent

Reports with weak audit identity, unclear lead ownership, and messy timing corrections after the fact.
