This page explains how users can request deletion of their A1 Audit account and associated account-related data. It also explains what data is deleted, what data may be kept, how long deletion normally takes, and how locally stored audit content is handled.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your A1 Audit account and associated account-related data, email us using the details below:
Email: [email protected]
Subject line: A1 Audit account deletion request
In your request, please include the email address used for your A1 Audit account or passkey sign-in. We may ask for additional information where needed to verify that you are authorized to make the request.
2. Data That Will Be Deleted
When a deletion request is verified and approved, A1 Audit will delete or de-identify account-related personal data that we process and are not required to retain, such as:
- your account email address;
- your name or display name, where held by A1 Audit;
- passkey or authentication records associated with your A1 Audit account;
- account recovery or verification records that are no longer needed; and
- support records linked to the account, where deletion is permitted.
3. Data That May Be Kept
Some information may be retained where required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute, tax, accounting, regulatory, platform, or audit-trail purposes. This may include limited records needed to document that a deletion request was received and completed.
Where information must be retained, we will keep it only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is retained, unless a longer period is required by applicable law, platform rules, or legitimate security and compliance needs.
Purchase, subscription, payment, or platform records may also be retained by the relevant app store, payment provider, or platform according to their own legal, billing, tax, and platform obligations.
4. Local Audit Data on Your Device
A1 Audit stores audit records locally on the user's device as part of its offline-first workflow. Local audit records may include audit plans, checklist answers, notes, findings, evidence, document references, images, OCR text, generated reports, imports, exports, and related metadata.
To remove local audit data from your device, delete the relevant data inside the app where available, clear the app's local data through your device settings, or uninstall the app. Files that you exported, shared, emailed, backed up, or stored outside the app remain under your control and must be deleted separately from the location where you stored them.
5. Partial Data Deletion Requests
You may also request deletion of some account-related data without deleting the full account. For example, you may ask us to delete support messages or specific account-related records where deletion is technically possible and legally permitted.
To request partial deletion, email [email protected] with the subject line: A1 Audit partial data deletion request. Please describe which account-related data you want deleted.
6. Timing and Retention Period
We aim to respond to verified deletion requests and complete deletion of eligible account-related data normally within 30 days.
Some requests may take longer where additional identity verification, legal review, platform checks, billing checks, fraud prevention, security checks, or technical investigation is needed. Where data must be retained, it will be retained only for the applicable legal, security, billing, platform, or compliance retention period.
