Secure start

Sign in and passkey setup

A clean passkey-first entrance keeps the app easy for auditors and harder to misuse.

Step by step

Start at sign-in

Open A1 Audit. Returning users choose Sign in with passkey. First-time users choose the setup option.

Prepare the device

Make sure the device has screen lock enabled and an active passkey provider such as Google Password Manager, Samsung Pass, iCloud Keychain, Windows Hello, or a security key.

Register the local account email

Enter the same email used for the active local A1 Audit user. This keeps access tied to the right person.

Verify the email code

Use the one-time code sent by email. The app links the verified email to the passkey setup flow, not to a typed password.

Approve the passkey prompt

Confirm with the device authenticator. After that, the device can sign in with its saved passkey.

What makes it useful

  • Fast sign-in without a normal password screen.
  • Clear device requirement guidance for Android, iPhone or iPad, and Windows.
  • Access opens only when the passkey email matches an active local A1 Audit user.

What this helps prevent

Shared passwords, forgotten passwords, and loose handovers that make it unclear who opened the audit app.
